The Shaftesbury Acoustic Music group is currently in hibernation until such a time when I can give it the effort and direction it needs.
In the summertime, the group will be relaunching with a focus on shared learning of guitar for beginners to intermediate level and will be open to all-comers. Naturally, SAC members get in free, other learners will be charged a small weekly fee. If you want to come along and help teach and have a few jam-alongs, then please do (we won’t charge teachers!).

The Shaftesbury Acoustic Music Club meets fortnightly for members of the Shaftesbury Arts Centre.
It’s open to everyone from seasoned musicians to complete novices and you’re welcome to come along and sing, strum, blow, tinkle, or just listen to popular music we’ll all learn to play together.
We use guitar tab-based music to keep things simple, and we’re open to trying new styles and tastes. It’s all about enjoying music and the fun of playing what we like together. Come along to the next meeting and join in.
We’re keen to support local acoustic (and non-acoustic!) artists too… so if you are playing in and around North Dorset, let us know and we’ll advertise your gig on here and throughout the club.
